Adopting a cat is one of the best things that one can do for themselves. We insist on that, and we will continue to do so. But not everyone knows it. Not everyone understands the miracle that having a cat in the house is. Sure, cats are chaotic, and they do silly things sometimes. But cats also radiate calm, and they bring peace into our homes. 

Some of us understand that, some of us don't, and some of us would like to give that miracle to the one of us who don't who we love. And we will do anything and everything that we have to to give them that joy, whether they want us to do it or not. We will even bring children into the world so our children can help us convince our spouses to get a cat. Apparently.

    You know, we think that there are many reasonable reasons to have kids and many unreasonable reasons to do so. Having kids to gang up on your husband so that he finally caves and lets you adopt a cat… that's definitely on the "reasonable reasons" side of the list.

    And we love the fact that the kids were in on it as well. The same way that the wife has been using her time to convince the kids that cats are pawsome, the husband could have been doing the same in the opposite direction. And he might have been. But the wife still won. The cats won. We won.
